25th October 2016 is the due date to file service tax return for the period April 2016-September 2016.
If you do not file the service tax return by tomorrow then you’ll be liable for late fees payable as follows:
| Delay | Late Fees |
| For delay upto 15 days | Rs 500 |
| Delay more than 30 days | Rs 1000 |
| Delay more than 30 days | Rs 1000+ Rs 100 per day beyond 30 days |
Note: The maximum late fees for the delay in filing service tax return will not exceed Rs 20,000.
