  • As soon as you reach the homepage, look at the top right side of the website. You will find five quick links for action including Citizen Services, Know Your Property, Query Search, Public Grievance and Mouza Information.
  • Click on Know Your Property, you will be directed to the page Khatian & Plot Information.

  • Subsequently, choose your Block and Mouza name from the available list.
  • The page will be displayed in two parts. You can search either by your Khatian number or Plot number as per your preference.
  • After entering the respective number, click on the view button. You will receive all the information related to your Khatian and Plot including the value of your property.

How to Know the RS-LR Plot Information Using Banglarbhumi Online Portal?

The process to find Revisional Settlement and Land Reform (RS-LR) plot information is quite easy. All you are required to do is:

  • Visit the authorized website and click on the Citizen Services tab and login using your user ID and password. If you do not have an account, sign up, and then, login.
  • Once you enter your login information, click on submit. It will direct you to various options –  select banglarbhumi RS-LR plot information from the displayed page.
  • You will see the fields like District, Block, and Mouza Map.
  • Choose your district name, block name, and mouza name from the drop-down menu.
  • Now, when you click on the page, it will display two options:
    Hal Dag->Sabek Dag (RS Plot No.)

  • Select your required option, enter the respective Plot No. and click on the submit button.

How to Apply for the Land conversion in Banglarbhumi?

The land is classified into different types in West Bengal. The main reason for applying for a land conversion is converting any utilized land into agricultural land. Or to convert the agricultural land into commercial land to build houses and commercial complexes. The conversion of land will increase the value of the land. 4: Upload the “List of Enclosures” that are requested to upload in the online land conversion form.

5: Select the payment method and make the payment online through GRIPS (net banking, credit/debit cards)

What is Mutation?

Mutation is the change in the ownership from one person to another person, when a property is sold or transferred. After the property is mutated, it is changed to the name of the new owner. Therefore, it makes the new owner liable for paying the property tax to the revenue department

Step by step procedure to Mutation Application

1: Visit the official website. Login with your User Id and Password in the customer services option.

2: Click on online application and select Mutation Application form. Enter the relevant details in the application form and submit.

  • Applicant Description: The details of applicant, name, address, mobile number etc.
  • Particulars of Transfer: The land details which is been transferred to the buyer.
  • List of Enclosures: All the scanned copies related to the land and tax bills.  

3: Application number of the Mutation Application is generated along with the date it is applied.

The Application No generated is used to know the status of the mutation status online in the Banglarbhumi website.

Fees Payment Method

ROR Request

A ROR (Record of Right) is a binding document that has to be filled in order to check fraudulent land transaction. Every landowner is required to contain this document at the stage of land registration. To know about the details of your ROR follow the below steps:

  • Visit the website http://banglarbhumi.gov.in/BanglarBhumi/Home.action and select ‘know your property’ option.
  • The page will redirect you to the khatian and plot infomation page. Select the page.
  • After knowing the details, enter your district, name, and mouza map information respectively.
  • Once you enter the details, it will ask for ROR document.
  • Enter the plot number, and then, click on the submit button.
  • Once you submit, you will be able to view the complete details of your land, if the records are available. If no records appear, the page will display no records found.

Due to the mandatory requirement of ROR at the time of land registration, the government has been able to publish 620 mouzas which were pending for around thirty years.


What is GRN Search?

When buying or selling land you are required to create a GRN (Goods Received Note) search to document the delivery of that particular land. It is a significant document that helps in verifying your payment status (the payment of taxes and non-taxes is maintained in the GRN status).

For instance, if you have applied for a mutation case and you have not received any notification that whether or not your payment has been successful, you can easily check it by performing GRN search.
